Rates & guide prices

No boat and no job is exactly the same. Where possible, we therefore work with clear fixed rates and guide prices. For repairs, faults and custom work, we agree the approach in advance and explain what you can approximately expect.

Request a price indication

A useful price indication before you contact us

The amounts below are consumer prices and provide a first indication. Where condition, materials, engine type or complexity can genuinely change the price, we deliberately use a from-price or price on request.

All consumer prices shown below include 21% VAT.

General service, technical work and diagnostics

General boat service

€80 per hour

For general work, checks, straightforward fitting and maintenance where specialist diagnostics are not required.

Materials and parts that are not standard to the work are agreed separately.

Minimum charge: 1 hour. After that, billing is in 15-minute increments.

Technical maintenance & repair

€90 per hour

For technical maintenance and repairs involving, among other things, engines and drives, electrical systems, batteries, pumps, lighting, controls, fixings and other technical components.

Where it is not clear in advance how much time will be required, we first discuss the approach. If substantial unexpected additional work is found, we contact you before continuing.

Diagnostics & fault finding

€100 per hour

An engine that will not start, a pump that stops working or an electrical fault is not always immediately visible. With diagnostics, we first establish where the problem actually lies before parts are replaced.

The initial diagnostic session has a minimum charge of one hour. After that, billing is in 15-minute increments. Once the cause is clear, we discuss the expected repair cost first where necessary.

Aluminium boatbuilding and custom projects are priced based on the complete assignment, including measurement, materials, fabrication, finishing and installation where applicable.

We discuss the project scope in advance and prepare an appropriate quotation.

Clear agreements before extra costs arise

  • Parts and materials. Parts, fluids and materials are charged separately unless explicitly included.
  • Larger material costs. Larger material costs are agreed in advance.
  • Work on location. Any travel or location costs depend on the berth and are included in the price indication in advance.
  • Additional work. Substantial unexpected additional work is not carried out without prior consultation.
  • Urgent work. Urgent work may be possible depending on scheduling; any additional costs are always discussed in advance. Work outside regular hours is possible by arrangement; any different rate is always confirmed in advance.

What will it cost for my boat?

Send the boat type, engine brand and type, a short description of the work, the berth and, if possible, a few photos. This often lets us indicate quickly what the best approach is and what price range the work falls into.

About rates and price indications

Do the rates include VAT?

Yes. The consumer prices shown include 21% VAT.

Will I receive a fixed price in advance?

Often, for predictable work. For faults, repairs and custom work, we provide an indication in advance or agree how much time we will first spend on diagnostics.

What happens if additional problems are found?

If substantial unexpected additional work is found, we contact you before continuing.

Are parts included?

Only when this is explicitly stated for the relevant service. The parts required vary by boat and engine type.

Can Schilpo Boats work on location?

Yes, depending on the work and berth. Any location or travel costs are included in the price indication in advance.

Why do some services not have a fixed price?

For aluminium boatbuilding and custom work, complex repairs and synthetic teak decking, materials, dimensions, preparation and required labour vary too much for one fair standard price.
